Etang Deux Pierres
I was having had a chat with Ray from Ashford Tackle. He had heard of a venue in France that had just stocked its lake with a whole new head of carp, and the original old stock still remained too!
Where Dreams Can Come True by Steve Milner
Saturday 29th September 2007 we got to Maison and drew swim numbers out of the hat. I pulled out 9th and there were two swims I was
looking at on lake Joly. They where no mans and a peg just along the track from the restaurant by the hopper. No mans was taken so
this left me the hopper swim along the track.
Trip to Maison Du Lac Bleu - By Steve Milner
On Friday the 11th of May we set off from Lichfield Staffs to Dover at 1.30pm. With all our gear in the transit van we reached
Dover at 5.30pm. We had to pass some time away as the coach was not leaving till 9.00pm so we popped to my relations who live
down that way.
Targeting Day Ticket Lakes in The Winter - By Lee Pollard
At this time of year the carp are still catchable, and at some venues it can be just productive as the warmer months. Now its
alot colder I spend my time targeting day ticket lakes that I know holds a good head of fish, because of work and other
commitments I have to plan my fishing in advance and only manage to get out there at weekends at the moment so theres no
point me trying to spend my weekend sat a on ultra hard vanue.
Winter at Whelford - By Lee Pollard
Now the start of winters here I thought it was time to do a night or two before the frosts set in. Whelford Pools was
the place I had in mind a mature gravel pit set right in the heart of the Cotswolds and I know it holds some pretty
good fish too, so I rang the fishery owner Gerry and he said it was fine for me to go down and have a go.
An Early Surprise – By Stephen Neaves
I arrived at the pool just after dawn. The air was fresh, cold and the frost crunched under my feet. I arrived at my
chosen pitch and looked across the 8 acre lake. Around 20 yards from the bank, just behind a well known gravel bar,
a large mirror carp popped its head out of the water. Moments later a fury of bubbles confirmed this fish was indeed
feeding hard.
